Aside from his bachelor's in music education which focused on choral pedagogy, Carlos is currently pursuing a minor in choral conducting at the Jacob's School of Music. In 2016, he was a featured student conductor during Rowan University's Concert Choir Europe tour. He's also held positions as choir director at the First Presbyterian Church of Glassboro in NJ, and St. Joseph's Pro-Cathedral in Camden, NJ where he also served as music director and lead cantor.
As a "baritenor", Carlos has sung in choirs for most of his college years, having gained entry into the Rowan University's and Schwob School of Music's elite choirs. Aside from his ensemble singing, Carlos also believes that the voice is one of the best music teachers for any instrumentalist. He encourages that all musicians should use their voice to help shape their musical decisions. |
